I’m filling out a job application for the first time in ages and I don’t understand why some things are just baffling me.
I only have two references listed, when there are spots for three. I don’t think I even know any one else who would make a good reference/doesn’t have a new baby so really shouldn’t have my potential employer calling them randomly/has a steady phone number or address for me to list.
And really, I feel like my “previous work history” is sort of pointless, because I’ve been at this job long enough (and still will be at this job as well) and the only things between working at Target in 2007 and right now were a bunch of short term nanny jobs where I’m sure the families don’t even remember my name and working at the paper where anyone I worked with has moved on, so there’s no one there to remember me either.
This was not meant to be as depressing as it sounds.
