Despite being rather sick this past week (ew.) and still a bit sick I’ve actually gotten a lot done in the last week.
I’m still functioning as my mom’s chauffeur until she’s completely recovered, so yesterday I took her out to finish her christmas shopping and I managed to get a few more presents finished as well.
I can’t wait until this Thursday! I have to work the afternoon but it’s the first day of Richard’s winter break and we’re taking care of our friends’ dog Buddy for the day while they’re in Chicago. He’s being picked up in the evening so we should have some time to get any last minute christmas prep finished. And then the next day? We both have off and it’ll be just wonderful.
Although I spent a good part of this past weekend sleeping (I hate being sick, and between the kids I take care of and Richard being a teacher I’m almost always sick over the winter) we got an amazing amount of projects finished, or at least progressing, in the house. Worked on the pantry, which really only needs some paint before we can instal the shelves. Hung some shelves, and Richard mounted his speakers in the living room so now music in the kitchen and front room sounds ah-mazing! All in all it was mostly little things here and there that make the house a bit more functional and pleasant to live in.
Well, just an hour and a half before I leave for work today so there’s still time to get a bit more done as long as Wicket lets me do more than wrestling with her toys and playing fetch.
